From the Waterfront Festival - an early summer outdoor music festival. People were dressed in colorful and often flowing outfits. The sun was out and created sparkles lighting up the leaves in the trees and the buckles on the clothes. I made a number of line drawings to try to convey the free dance styles.

I liked this single drawing so much I decided to make this painting. I still intend to do a fuller dancing scene from that moment.
